What Causes An Oral Abscess?
Oral abscesses are often the result of harmful bacteria trapped below the gum line and left to spread. This then becomes infected and turns in to an abscess when left unchecked. Visit a dentist
You need to visit your dentist to treat a dental abscess as other abscesses can be treated by a GP, these however, cannot. Your dentist will need to drain the area of infection as this will ensure that the majority of harmful bacteria is removed from the infected area.
