Once you pop along to see the dentist, things like partial dentures, bridges, veneers and crowns can be knocked out in around an hour and you can be done and dusted with fine new looking teeth and fittings. A digital x-ray will take pictures of the affected area and then send them straight into the CEREC programme on a computer that will design a new part for your mouth. In minutes, this will be relayed into a milling machine that will then make what you need. All of this is very quick and by now the dentist will have already prepped you. Then the new fitting can be set into the mouth and if anything doesn’t work, the adjustments can be done on the spot. For anyone who has barely little time to spare during the day, this is an absolute godsend if things go awry in the mouth.
