As soon as you meet Dr. Gakhal all your dental anxieties will be put at ease, his relaxed and informal manner have gained him a reputation in the Leeds area for being the dentist for nervous patients. Both adults and children alike have praised his gentle manner and the large number of new patients that come to City Dental through word of mouth is a testament to his level of care and high quality dentistry. He will listen to your needs and concerns, understand what you want and then give you a professional opinion advising you on all the possible treatment options.

Dr. Gakhal continually strives for perfection and has undertaken extensive postgraduate studies in dental implantology, restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. His ongoing post-graduate education ensures that he is up to date with the latest advances in dental techniques, materials and technology. More recently Dr. Gakhal completed a year long course in implantology at Trafford Hospital, Manchester enabling him to carry out more advanced implant procedures. In recent years Dr Gakhal has undertaken extensive training in cosmetic orthodontic treatments.

Dr Ihab Ibrahim graduated from Ain Shams University in Egypt in 2000 with an honors degree. Restorative Dentistry has been his main area of interest as he developed a special interest in root canal treatments alongside with his passion in cosmetic dentistry including crowns, bridges , veneers and tooth whitening.

By completing one-years training in different hospitals in Egypt, He decided to move to Denmark where he gained lots of experience through working in different practices through out the country. In 2005 he moved to the UK seeking knowledge and professional experience, he enjoys treating patients with different levels of Anxiety and from different cultural backgrounds. He has always been praised by his tutors and patients for his ability to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere to relive any nervousness.

In order to always achieve his goal in providing the best treatment based upon the best knowledge and experience; he is currently undertaking the Diploma of Membership of The Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons in England (MJDF RCS).

He achieved his Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry in 2011 from Leeds Dental Institute which will help him delivering more reliable evidence based treatments to his patients.

Moreover, he completed a one year course in Implant Dentistry at The Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2007 and he is now fully qualified to place and restore dental implants.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading and going to the gym.

Hi, I’m Kirsty. I am a qualified dental nurse with 5 years experience. I really enjoy my job and working with patients. I always have a hand to hold if you are nervous. I have a special interest in orthodontics and am starting a post qualification course in this area in May.

Out of work love walking my dog and spending time with my friends and family.

Hi, I’m Nicola. I qualified from Leeds Dental Institute in 2005. I’m one of the hygienists at City Dental and it’s my job to look after your oral health and check that your gums and mouth are healthy. I will also clean your teeth and offer advice on how to maintain a good oral hygiene programme at home, including the use of toothbrushes, dental floss and mouthwash. Prevention is the key to a healthy smile and our aim here at City Dental is to ensure that we take good care of your smile.

When I’m not at work I enjoy socialising with my friends and going to the gym ( I’m participating in The Great North Run this year so the gym is necessary).

Hi, I’m Linda and I’m the receptionist at City Dental. As your first point of contact in the practice I hope my friendly, caring approachable manor helps to make you feel at ease and builds confidence in the team that will be looking after your dental needs. I thoroughly enjoy my job; my aim is to ensure that you are always happy with the quality of care you receive here and that you will always want to return to City Dental for all your future dental care. Hi, I’m Claire. I qualified from the Royal Army Dental Centre, gaining a diploma in Dental Hygiene. I have a lot of experience and have worked in general practice for a number of years. My work includes scaling and polishing, periodontal treatment and dental health education for adults and children.

I have been living down south and have recently moved to the Wakefield area.

Hi, I am Nicola. I am a qualified dental nurse with over six years experience. I have had a lot of experience nursing for anxious patients and always strive to ensure patients feel comfortable and relaxed. I love my job and currently have a special interest in dental implants completing an implant course for nurses in 2009.

Outside work I enjoy reading, walking and spending time with my family.
