If however you require a little bit of cosmetic touching-up, this could be a problem- the very nature of some treatments can take weeks to complete and it may be difficult for you to keep returning to the surgery. Well you needn’t worry, because thanks to CAD/CAM technology, you can have yourself done within the hour!
Just pop into the dentists for a quick discussion and when you know what you need doing, a series of images will be taken digitally of your mouth from which the computer will design your new fitting. Once the design is complete, the details are fed into a machine that then manufactures your fitting while you are being prepared in the chair by the dentist, and when it’s done, it’s secured into your mouth- and the great thing is, if there is any problem with the fitting, it can be corrected on the spot.
