About veneers

Veneers are custom-made for the individual using a set of impressions made once the teeth have been prepared. The preparation stage creates space for the veneers and involves etching the tooth surfaces and applying agent to facilitate bonding. Once the impressions have been created, they are sent away and the veneers are made by highly skilled and experienced dental technicians. When they are ready, we will then place them on your teeth and fix them into position using dental adhesive.
Veneer treatment usually takes around two to three weeks and involves two appointments.
How long do veneers last?
Veneers should last for several years providing they are well looked-after. Like natural teeth, veneers can become damaged through injury or accident and it’s important to take good care of them. The exact life-span will also depend on the type of veneer, as materials vary slightly and some systems last longer than others.
